The HiTech Division of New Hampshire Ball Bearings (NHBB) has agreed to participate in the CNC Machinist Skills Through Apprenticeship Retraining (STAR) Program run by River Valley Community College. In doing so, HiTech has committed to hiring two students from the next session, which is scheduled to begin on January 11, 2011. Enrollment for this session is now open. The STAR program offers participants a two-year advanced manufacturing apprenticeship while employed at HiTech, and the opportunity to earn college credits, which can be applied towards an associate's degree at the college.
